SVC-B · technical evaluation
This page describes a buyer-side evaluation method, not a claim that this independent guide manufactures, samples or releases material. It converts an application brief into questions that can be checked against current official product-family documentation.
A useful request identifies the system around the insulation. A finished article's warmth, drying behavior and durability cannot be assigned to the ingredient name alone.
| Decision field | What to record | Why it changes interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Named technology | Full family and variant name, document date, construction form | Gold, Silver, Black, Active, ThermoPlume, Aerogel and NEXT address different design questions. |
| Insulation basis weight | g/m² where the official product specification uses that unit | More mass does not create a universal temperature rating; coverage and construction still intervene. |
| Layer system | Face fabric, liner, membrane or coating, quilting and seam layout | Air permeability, moisture vapor transmission rate and compression vary across the full assembly. |
| Exposure | Wind, liquid moisture, humidity, contact pressure and activity cycle | Laboratory material behavior must be translated carefully to a use environment. |
| Care route | Wash process, drying process, frequency and expected service life | Loft recovery and migration control depend on the finished construction and care conditions. |
| Claim scope | Exact product, geography, time period and supporting official document | Recycled content, BIO and P.U.R.E. statements are not automatically portfolio-wide. |
This framework deliberately does not invent CLO values, temperature bands, factory tolerances, certifications or availability. Those items require a named product document or direct confirmation from the official brand channel.
Methodology
The sequence keeps material facts separate from design assumptions and marketing shorthand.
We will help structure the questions that belong in an evidence review. Product availability, commercial terms and official approvals remain with the appropriate official channel.
